An den Rändern der Risse …
in der Lücke das Grün
Music theatre for small ensemble and actors (60“)
Kammermusikfestival Regensburg, 2022
An den Rändern der Risse … in der Lücke das Grün explores the beauty of suspension. The music-theatre performance invites you to listen to unheard, intimate sequences and to look into primal humanity, caught where otherwise only dust accumulates. The subjective experience of “not being quite right” pulsates as a fundamental rhythm through this composition, seeking a path to where error becomes possibility. The various floors of the legendary Heart Club Regensburg are repurposed and reused by the music-theatre work of Max Andrzejewski (composition) and Georg Schütky (direction). Performers and musicians create an infernal landscape full of scenic-musical miniatures. An unusually composed ensemble of flute, viola, two guitars (both electric and acoustic), double bass and electronics meets 14 acting students from the AdK Regensburg and their stories in this commissioned work of the chamber music festival, who together with Schütky, Andrzejewski and the two lecturers Anika Kühl and Wolfgang Maas have explored their very personal “edges of the cracks” over a year.
